Getting Ready for the Big Night...

Hockey nirvana is coming to southern CA this week as the Washington Capitals and Alexander Ovechkin (aka Alex the Great) make a road trip to the Western Conference. After a game in Anaheim with the Ducks on Wednesday, they come to Staples Center Thursday night and take on the Kings.

Nadine has personal connection to the Caps through an old college friend, so we're going to be really bad Kings fans Thursday night and come out in full Capitals gear. And Alex the Great deserves some welcome signs, so we had a sign making party this afternoon. Look for these on TV if you're watching the game. Even if the Los Angeles media doesn't put us on, I'm sure the Washington news outlets will pick us up!





After we got our signs done, we checked out the Kings game on Nadine and John's new TV....a Panasonic 63" high definition with the most amazing picture I've ever seen. So we got to see the Kings in all their glory, unfortunately in a loss to Anaheim. Not going to dwell on that....



Nadine's pooch Bailey didn't seem to know what to make of all the excitement...
